URA launches Ubi Road 1 industrial site for sale by public tender

SINGAPORE : The Urban Redevelopment Authority has launched an industrial site at Ubi Road 1 for sale by public tender.

The land parcel has a 60-year lease period and a site area of about 3.5 hectares.

The site has a maximum permissible gross plot ratio of 2.5 and can be developed for various uses such as clean and light industries.

These industries include those related to computer software development, publishing, assembly and repair of computer hardware and electronic equipment.

The site is one of two industrial plots of land to be launched for sale under the Confirmed List of the first half of 2010.

The other industrial site on the Confirmed List, at Tampines Industrial Avenue 4, was sold for about $33 million by JTC on 1 June 2010. - CNA/jy
